Pran Vohra Award 2008 - 2009

Scope

Pran Vohra Award instituted in 1989 by The Indian Science Congress Association, is intended to honour talented young scientists who have made significant researches in any branch of Agricultural Sciences within the country. The award carries a cash amount of Rs.10,000/- and a Certificate. The awardee will be required to deliver a lecture on the topic of his/her specialization during the Annual Session of the Indian Science Congress Association in the Section of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. The scientists eligible for consideration of this award must have Ph. D. degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences from any University or Institution in India. Only research done in India will be considered for the award.

Age

The age of the candidate should be below 35 years as on December 31st, 2007 (only those born on or after January 1, 1973 are eligible for consideration in 2087-2009).

Presentation of Award

The presentation of award to the recipient will be made in the Section of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences during the 96th Annual Session of The Indian Science Congress Association to be held in January, 2009.

T.A. (First Class / A.C.III tier round trip railway fare) and D.A. as per ISCA rules will be provided to the awardee.

Last Date of Submitting Application is July 31, 2008.
